Microsoft Azure Infrastructure
Virtual machines, networking, storage, databases and landing zones designed, secured and costed properly from the first day.
Azure · Microsoft 365 · Backup · Managed Cloud
We plan, migrate, secure and manage cloud environments for small businesses through to enterprise. From Microsoft 365 email and Teams to full Azure infrastructure, backup and disaster recovery, we keep your business online through load-shedding, ransomware and growth. Based in Margate, KwaZulu-Natal, serving every province and clients across Africa.
Cloud infrastructure is the computing, storage, networking and security that runs your business systems on a provider such as Microsoft Azure or Microsoft 365 instead of on hardware in your office. You pay for what you use, your systems stay available when the power or a server fails, and security and backup are built into the platform.
For many South African businesses the cloud is less about technology fashion and more about survival: load-shedding that crashes servers, ageing hardware that is expensive to replace, staff who need to work from home or a branch, and ransomware that targets poorly protected networks. A well-designed cloud environment answers all four.
We start with an honest assessment of what should move, what should stay and what should be switched off, then deliver a costed roadmap. See how we scale from small business to enterprise, compare cloud models, or request a free assessment.
One partner for the whole journey: assessment, design, migration, security and day-to-day management.
Virtual machines, networking, storage, databases and landing zones designed, secured and costed properly from the first day.
Licensing, tenant setup, Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive and Teams configured around the way your people actually work.
Move file servers, email, line-of-business apps and databases to the cloud with a tested plan, rollback points and minimal downtime.
Immutable cloud backups and tested recovery for servers, Microsoft 365 data and workstations, so one bad day never becomes a lost business.
Entra ID, multi-factor authentication, conditional access, Defender, Intune device management and email protection against phishing.
Keep what must stay on-premises, move what should not, and connect it with secure VPN, ExpressRoute or SD-WAN. AWS and Google Cloud workloads supported.
Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 Cloud PCs give staff secure access to a full desktop from any device, anywhere.
Proactive monitoring, patching, helpdesk and monthly reporting under a clear service agreement with defined response times.
Rightsizing, reservations, licence clean-up and budget alerts. A common outcome of an audit is paying for less than you do today.
The same engineering standards at every size. What changes is the scope, governance and support level, and you only pay for what you need.
Get enterprise-grade email, files, Teams and security without buying a server. Fixed monthly support, simple licensing and fast onboarding.
Multiple branches, line-of-business apps and rising compliance needs. We build a secure cloud foundation that scales with headcount.
Governance, identity at scale, regulated data and complex hybrid estates. Architecture, delivery and operations aligned to your policies.
Most organisations end up with a mix. We help you decide which workloads belong where, and why.
| Model | What it means | Best for | Watch-outs |
|---|---|---|---|
| On-premises servers | Hardware in your office or server room, run and secured by you. | Specialised applications tied to local hardware or strict local-only rules. | Exposed to load-shedding, hardware refresh cycles and a heavy backup and security burden. |
| SaaS (Microsoft 365) | Email, files, Teams and security delivered as a service. | Almost every business, and usually the fastest win. | Needs proper security configuration and independent backup. |
| Azure (IaaS and PaaS) | Virtual machines, databases and networks you rent and scale. | Line-of-business apps, servers, databases and disaster recovery. | Costs must be monitored and rightsized to stay efficient. |
| Hybrid | Some workloads on-premises, some in the cloud, connected securely. | Staged migrations, regulated systems and latency-sensitive equipment. | More moving parts, so it needs good design and monitoring. |
We are vendor-honest: we recommend the platform that fits your software, skills and compliance needs.
| Platform | Best for | Strengths | Consider | South African region |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Azure | Organisations on Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Active Directory | Tight integration with Microsoft identity, licensing and hybrid tools | Licensing and cost management need care | South Africa North (Johannesburg), South Africa West (Cape Town) |
| Amazon Web Services | Cloud-native applications and teams with AWS skills | Very broad service catalogue and mature ecosystem | Breadth can add complexity and cost sprawl | Africa (Cape Town) |
| Google Cloud | Data, analytics, AI and Google Workspace-centred teams | Strong data and analytics tooling | Smaller local partner ecosystem | Johannesburg |
Your email, files and applications stay online when the power does not. Staff keep working from anywhere with a laptop and a connection.
Microsoft operates Azure datacentre regions in South Africa (Johannesburg and Cape Town), so workloads can be hosted in-country where policy requires it.
Replace large server purchases and refresh cycles with scalable monthly costs that are monitored and optimised.
Multi-factor authentication, encryption, threat detection and patching at a level most on-premises server rooms struggle to match.
Branches, remote staff and contractors across provinces or countries share one secure environment.
Access control, encryption, retention and audit logging configured to support your POPIA obligations. General guidance, not legal advice.
Ransomware, theft, fire, hardware failure and honest mistakes all happen. What matters is how quickly you are back and how much data you keep.
Three copies of your data, on two different types of storage, with one copy held off-site or in the cloud.
Backup copies that cannot be altered or deleted for a set period, which protects against ransomware and accidental deletion.
We run restore tests and document how quickly systems return and how much data could be lost, so recovery is a plan, not a hope.
Microsoft secures the service, but you remain responsible for your data. We add independent backup for mailboxes, OneDrive, SharePoint and Teams.
Not every server should be lifted into the cloud unchanged. We assess each application and choose the path that gives the best result for the lowest risk.
Move a server as it is to an Azure virtual machine for the quickest, lowest-risk migration.
Make small changes on the way, such as moving a database to a managed Azure service.
Redesign an application to use cloud-native features when long-term scale and cost justify it.
Replace an ageing on-premises system with a SaaS product that does the same job better.
Switch off systems nobody uses so you stop paying to run, patch and protect them.
Keep a workload on-premises where there is a good reason, and connect it securely to the cloud.
We are a KwaZulu-Natal IT company that treats cloud as a business decision first and a technology decision second. You work directly with the engineers doing the work, with clear scopes, written quotes and plain-language reporting.
Microsoft, Azure, Office 365 and other product names are trademarks of their respective owners and are used to describe the services we support.
We audit your servers, licences, apps, connectivity and security posture, then deliver a costed roadmap with risks and priorities.
Tenant, identity, networking, security baseline and governance are designed once, properly, so everything built later is safe and tidy.
Email, files, servers and applications move in tested phases with backups, rollback points and out-of-hours cut-overs.
Security policies are enforced, devices enrolled and staff trained, because most incidents start with a person, not a server.
Monitoring, patching, support and monthly reviews keep the environment secure, fast and cost-efficient as you grow.
Our cloud portfolio is being updated. Contact us to discuss recent client projects.
Our engineers are based in Margate on the South Coast and work on site across the province, from Port Shepstone and Durban to Ballito, Richards Bay and Pietermaritzburg, with remote support for everything else.
We deliver Azure, Microsoft 365 and managed cloud services to businesses in every South African province, from Durban, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Cape Town to Gqeberha, Bloemfontein, Polokwane and Mbombela.
We help African organisations and international companies operating in Africa move to the cloud with designs that account for local connectivity, data protection laws, currency and the nearest suitable cloud region.
Designs that tolerate variable bandwidth and latency, with connectivity failover, caching and offline-friendly workflows.
POPIA in South Africa plus regional laws such as those in Kenya, Nigeria and Ghana considered in architecture and region choice. General guidance, not legal advice.
Shared project plan, video check-ins and staged cut-overs so distance does not affect quality or timelines.
We design, migrate, secure and manage cloud environments including Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 (Office 365), Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID, Intune, Azure Virtual Desktop, cloud backup and disaster recovery, plus hybrid and multi-cloud setups.
Microsoft 365 is a software service that gives you email, files, Teams and Office apps. Azure is a cloud platform where you run servers, databases, networks and applications. Many businesses start with Microsoft 365 and add Azure when they want to move servers or build disaster recovery.
Microsoft sets per-user licence prices by plan, and they vary with currency and billing term. Our service is quoted separately for setup, migration and support. After a short call about your user count and needs we send an itemised quote so you can see licences and services side by side.
In most cases yes. We migrate mailboxes, calendars, contacts and files in phases, switch mail flow out of hours and keep the old system available until everything is verified. Large mailboxes and complex setups can take longer, and we plan for that up front.
Yes. We assess each server and application, then rehost, replatform or retire it as appropriate. Some workloads move to Azure virtual machines, file shares often move to SharePoint or Azure Files, and databases to Azure SQL where it makes sense.
It depends on your workload. Cloud removes large hardware purchases and refresh cycles and adds resilience, but costs run monthly and must be monitored. We compare the real cost of both options, including power backup, support and risk, before you decide.
Azure has datacentre regions in South Africa North (Johannesburg) and South Africa West (Cape Town). Where your policy or industry requires in-country hosting we design for it. Availability of specific services and Microsoft 365 data location depends on the service and tenant, which we confirm during the assessment.
Cloud-hosted email, files and applications are not tied to your office power. We also design connectivity failover, cloud backup and tested disaster recovery so that staff can work from anywhere and your data survives hardware failure, theft or ransomware. For on-site power, see our solar and hybrid energy work.
We recommend it. Microsoft protects the service and offers retention features, but you remain responsible for your data. An independent backup protects against accidental or malicious deletion and lets you restore items quickly.
Yes. We have packages for businesses of 1 to 25 users, growing companies of 25 to 250 users and enterprise or public sector organisations with 250+ users. The same engineering standards apply; the governance and scale differ.
Major cloud platforms offer stronger baseline security than most office server rooms, but only if configured properly. We enable multi-factor authentication, conditional access, encryption, logging and backup, and design with POPIA principles in mind. This is general guidance, not legal advice, and your responsible party obligations remain with you.
Often. We review usage for oversized virtual machines, idle resources, unused licences and missing reservations, then implement budgets and alerts. Savings vary by environment, so we measure before and after rather than promising a fixed percentage.
Yes. We start with a health check of identity, security, backup, licensing and cost, document what we find and agree a plan. You keep ownership of your tenant and admin access at all times.
Yes. Managed plans include monitoring, patching, helpdesk, backup checks, security reviews and monthly reporting, with response times set out in a service agreement.
It depends on your software, skills, compliance needs and existing Microsoft licensing. For organisations already on Microsoft 365 and Windows Server, Azure is often the most natural fit. We recommend what suits you, not a single vendor, and can run multi-cloud where it is justified.
A small business Microsoft 365 migration is commonly completed in days to a few weeks. Server and application migrations for growing businesses typically run several weeks, and enterprise programmes are planned in waves over months. The assessment gives you a realistic timeline.
Yes. We are based in Margate and deliver remotely to clients in all nine provinces including Gauteng, the Western Cape and the Eastern Cape, with on-site visits available in KZN. Most cloud work is done securely online with video check-ins and a shared project plan.
Yes. We support organisations in Namibia, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Nigeria, Ghana and beyond. We plan for local connectivity, data protection laws, currencies and the nearest suitable cloud region.
