We design, install and support CCTV systems for homes, farms, shops, offices and larger sites, using Dahua and Hikvision cameras and recorders on secure MikroTik and Ubiquiti networks. Clear night images, secure remote viewing on your phone, and backup power planned for load-shedding. Based on the KZN South Coast and working across the province.
CCTV (closed-circuit television) is a system of cameras, a recorder and storage that records your property and lets you watch it live or review it later, locally or from your phone. Modern systems use IP or HD analogue cameras that record to a network or digital video recorder.
A good CCTV system is not just a box of cameras. It starts with a site survey: where people and vehicles approach, where the blind spots are, what the lighting is like at night, and how cable and power can reach each camera. We then size storage for the recording time you need, secure the system against misuse and plan power backup so it keeps recording when the lights go out.
We install Dahua and Hikvision equipment and choose the model that suits your site and budget. CCTV is one part of our wider security solutions, and it connects naturally to access control and a reliable managed internet link for remote viewing.
Site survey, camera positioning, neat cabling, recorder setup and testing for new systems of any size.
Replace ageing analogue or failing cameras, often re-using suitable existing cabling to keep costs down.
Secure access to live and recorded video from your phone, tablet or computer, set up without exposing your recorder to the internet.
Recorders and surveillance-grade drives sized for the cameras, resolution and retention period you need.
Line crossing, intrusion and people or vehicle detection where the cameras and recorder support it, to reduce false alerts.
Number-plate recognition for gates and entrances, with logging and optional integration with access control.
Infrared and low-light camera options, with coverage tested after dark so you know what you will really see.
Cleaning, alignment, firmware updates, drive checks and fault repair, so footage is there when you need it.
We scale the design to the site. Timelines are indicative and depend on cabling, access and equipment availability.
Reliable coverage for the doors, driveways and perimeter that matter most, with simple phone viewing.
Cameras for tills, stockrooms, entrances and car parks, with fast footage search and export.
Perimeter-focused systems for large areas, with longer cable runs, wireless links where needed and analytics to cut false alerts.
Standardised systems across sites with central management, policy controls and documented maintenance.
The right camera depends on the job, the lighting and the distance. We match each position to the right type.
| Camera type | Best for | Strengths | Consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bullet | Perimeters, driveways and building exteriors | Long-range, visible deterrent and easy to aim | More visible and easier to tamper with if mounted low |
| Dome / turret | Entrances, reception areas and indoor spaces | Discreet, vandal-resistant options and wide views | Wide views can reduce detail at long distance |
| PTZ (pan-tilt-zoom) | Large yards, car parks and sites that need active coverage | Covers large areas and can zoom on activity | Cannot watch everywhere at once, so often paired with fixed cameras |
| ANPR / LPR | Gates, entrances and vehicle checkpoints | Captures number plates for logs and access | Needs correct angle, speed and lighting to be accurate |
| Low-light / full-colour | Areas where colour detail at night matters | Improved night images with less reliance on infrared | Performance depends on the model and available light |
Both can give good results. The right choice depends on your cabling, budget and the features you want.
| Option | Best for | Strengths | Consider |
|---|---|---|---|
| IP (network) cameras | New installations and systems that need analytics or high resolution | High resolution, flexible features, power and data over one network cable (PoE) | Needs network cabling and a well-planned network |
| HD analogue (HD-CVI, HD-TVI, AHD) | Upgrading an existing analogue system and keeping suitable coax cabling | Cost-effective upgrades, simple and dependable | Fewer advanced features than IP, and cable condition must be checked |
Cameras and recorders are common targets, so we harden every system rather than leaving factory settings.
Default passwords are replaced and each user gets their own account with only the access they need.
Devices are updated, and we check for new updates during support visits.
Cameras and recorders sit on a separate network segment, away from staff computers and guest Wi-Fi.
We avoid exposing recorders directly to the internet and use safer remote access methods.
UPS and battery sizing keeps recorders, switches and routers running through power cuts.
Lightning and grid-return surges damage cameras and recorders, so we protect power and data lines where practical.
Weatherproof fittings and corrosion-resistant mounting for salt air and humid coastal sites.
Drives are sized for the days of footage you want to keep, with backup options for important cameras.
Footage can contain personal information. We help you set up the technical side responsibly. This is general guidance, not legal advice.
Cameras are aimed at the areas you need to protect and away from neighbours’ private spaces where possible.
We recommend clear signs at entrances so people know they are being recorded.
Accounts, passwords and audit trails limit who can view and export recordings.
Recording time is set deliberately instead of keeping footage forever.
We walk the site, note blind spots, lighting, cable routes, power and internet, and agree what you most need to see.
You receive a camera plan and an itemised quote with equipment, storage and labour shown separately.
We install neatly, aim and test every camera at night as well as by day, and configure the recorder.
We harden the system, set up remote viewing, train you to use it and leave simple documentation.
Health checks, firmware updates and repairs keep the system recording reliably.
We install Dahua and Hikvision equipment and build the network on MikroTik and Ubiquiti, choosing models that fit each site.

We install and support CCTV on site across KwaZulu-Natal from our base on the South Coast. Remote support and larger projects elsewhere can be arranged.
It depends on the site. Many homes use around four to eight cameras, but coverage matters more than camera count. We walk the site, identify what you need to see and place cameras where they will actually be useful.
Both are widely used and offer products for most budgets. Quality depends on the model and on installation, so we choose suitable models for your site, keep firmware current and keep the devices isolated and protected.
Neither is better for every job, and their ranges overlap. We compare current models on image quality, low-light performance, features and price for your specific site, then recommend one.
IP cameras send digital video over a network cable and usually offer higher resolution and more features. HD analogue cameras (HD-CVI, HD-TVI or AHD) use coax and are often a cost-effective way to upgrade an existing system. We recommend the right one after a site visit.
Often, yes. If the existing coax or cabling is in good condition, HD analogue cameras and a new recorder can improve picture quality without new cables. We check the cabling first so you are not surprised.
Yes. We set up secure remote viewing on your phone, tablet or computer. It needs a working internet connection, and the upload speed of that connection affects how smooth remote viewing is. We can also manage your internet link.
That depends on the number of cameras, resolution, recording mode and drive size. We size the storage for the number of days you want to keep, and discuss options such as motion recording or extra drives.
Yes. Cameras can use infrared or low-light technology, and some models offer colour images at night. We test coverage after dark during installation so you know what to expect.
We size UPS or battery backup for the recorder, network switch, router and the cameras that matter most, so recording continues through power cuts. Backup power has limits, so we agree the runtime with you. See our solar and backup power services.
Live viewing can use a fair amount of bandwidth, so we configure lower-quality streams for remote viewing and keep full quality for recording. Your internet upload speed matters, and we can help improve it.
Many current models support people and vehicle detection, line crossing and intrusion alerts. Features depend on the camera and recorder, so we confirm what is supported before you buy.
Most property owners can install CCTV, but footage can contain personal information, so privacy law and respect for neighbours matter. We help with camera positions, signage, user access and retention settings. This is general guidance, not legal advice, so check your obligations with your attorney or information officer.
Yes. We offer health checks, cleaning, alignment, firmware updates, drive checks and repairs, so the system is working when you need the footage.
Yes. We can provide an independent technical report on damaged equipment, including likely cause and repair or replacement options. See our insurance assessments.
